Azilal

Azilal carpets come from the Azilal (Tadla-Azilal) region in the High Atlas of Morocco. The carpets embody the wonderfully colorful side of Morocco, the colorful traditions and customs of the Berbers. The weaving of Azilal carpets consists of a simple knot and a typical, short pile. Regional, high-quality and hand-processed sheep's wool is the basis of all these works of art. The region still holds some vintage treasures today, but they are becoming increasingly rare. Due to their wonderfully colorful character, carpets are increasingly finding their way into children's rooms, but are also a wonderful splash of color in the living or sleeping area. The carpets are even suitable for the bathroom because the natural sheep's wool has anti-fungal properties.
