Said Yaghfouri
Said Yaghfouri, born in 1965 in Beni Mellal, Morocco, lives and works in Béni Mellal and is a contemporary painter. Since the early 2000s, he has been active in the Moroccan art scene, including as a workshop leader and member of artist associations, initially exhibiting his work in Morocco (Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Fez, Tetouan, Marrakech, Béni Mellal). International exhibitions and auctions followed, including in London (Coningsby Gallery), in France (Brest, Creil), as well as at Ader/Hôtel Drouot, Paris (public auction).
Painterly, he works in independent layering processes that give his paintings a unique depth. Geometric abstraction is his signature, through which he develops surfaces with depth and harmonious composition. His works repeatedly reference Amazigh (Berber) culture - scenes from everyday life, moments captured and abstracted. Material and rhythm flow together here, interwoven with geometric elements. The result is works that feel tactile and immediate, yet reveal precise composition from a distance.
Today, unique one-of-a-kind works are created, curated, and placed upon request.

Beni Ourain
The Beni Ourain is more than a rug, it’s a tradition woven deep in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
Each piece is made from pure wool, lovingly handcrafted by Berber families in time-honored ways.

Beni Mrirt
The Beni Mrirt is a refined Berber rug from the Mrirt-Khenifra region, hand-knotted with premium wool.
Each piece is crafted in small cooperatives, where the tradition lives on with care and skill.

Azilal
The Azilal rug comes from the Tadla-Azilal region, where the High Atlas meets the open plains of Morocco.
It’s handwoven with a simple knot and a distinct short pile, full of character and colors.

Kilim
The art of weaving, especially Kilim rug weaving, is still widely practiced throughout Morocco.
Unlike knotted rugs, Kilims are flat-woven and known for their wide variety of traditional patterns
